yes done this a few times, works fine...
The first time I did the "gift of membership" stuff (there was a SD on buying these outright last year, now I just redeem the discover cashback this way) - Walmart & Sams gave me a little hassle when trying to redeem it... So now I just use them to buy giftcards at walmart.com: http://www.walmart.com/browse/gif..._GiftCard they ship them free... Yes it'll take some extra time but it takes the YMMV out of it, they'll take "plain" wal mart gift cards at both Sam's and Walmart without any hassle whatsoever |

there really is no YMMV, gift cards from sams work at walmart and vice versa, If you get a moron just use self checkout to buy a walmart card or whatever you want.

Sorry, but I have to ask the same question someone else posted. Will this work if I'm not a Sam's member? I don't want a membership, and I'm afraid if I purchase they will deduct $40 and automatically sign me up for membership.
