"Tax guy" or "tax professional" had better = CPA
The time to talk to a CPA is before actions have taken place. Setup business/rental as X, Y, or Z.... etc. The CPA can't do much to "minimize your tax burden" i.e. hide money from the IRS after the fact. If you are already have everything ready, just fill in the blanks with tax software. Even complicated returns can be done easily. If you have an actual ridiculously complicated return, you are bringing in enough money to not even worry about what a CPA would charge. |
