each Target usually has its own policy for Clearance items. I myself picked up a USB 3.0, 2TB External Seagate Drive this past Spring at my local Target for $79.00. I had no use for it at the time, but knew I'd be getting a new Rig later this year. Now it's hooked to one of my new Rig's USB 3.0 superspeed ports -and yep, it's fast!

As for having these - they have them regular price still, but I'll be keeping a watch out. Never know when you can use an extra..

Oh, these USB 3.0 drives are great when they work - but you have to have the correct USB 3.0 Drivers or your PC won't be able to read them - and they'll declare them bad. (in that case, hook them up to another PC's USB 2.0 port - do a check on them, and if necessary, reformat the drive).

"Limited Stock" all around me...too bad it's a PoS, CoD Seagate.

Not worth the gas there, let alone $40. Might make a good gag gift if someone anticipates the need for a doorstop very, very soon.

While you have a point, I would rather see the deal posted with a clear YMMV label. Sometimes when I am at a store I like to pull up slickdeals and search for any deals at the store. Unless it's a good deal like the 20% Amazon GC at Meijer's last week, I may re-arrange my travels to cross an extra store or two in hopes of scoring son SD loot.

You sound like a reseller, which is great for you if true. In that case, you should continue doing what you are doing.

BTW, after some research, this deal is only 50% target clearance, which is luke warm by Target's clearance standard. Had OP not posted this deal, some people might probably score the drive for $24 after the next round of clearance, which is a true hot deal.

research more, target hard drive deal rarely get left behind once they hit 50%...that being said if an AVERAGE sder needs a drive for OS or backup, this is hot TODAY , I've gotten 1tb of portable 3.0 for $27 many times recently and I still consider this slick

Utah Targets don't work, fyi. Target broke my SD heart 7 times in 2011. Never again.

Still regretting not getting more of the 2TB $65 drives from Staples a couple months back. They had 6 in stock and I only grabbed one. Now my aging 250GB drive is almost full and I still can't seem to get a good deal on a 1-2TB drive like I had with the Staples deal!
