Are you going to stay in Vietnam? Or this for business? From what I heard from friend there is a way that u leave this country for good or reason u can bring your asset with u and that is the car and I believe you need lawyer to do paper work.
I don't know about China. But, I hear it costs A LOT of money to ship a car into Vietnam. Due to taxes and duties, I hear that a car will often end up costing double to triple the cost. So, I heard that a regular $30k Honda will cost about $100k in Vietnam.
As a side note, it goes to show you how rich some of the VC ppl are in Vietnam. Many of them are driving around Mercedes and BMW's when it's like triple the cost. Yet, probably 95% of its ppl are in poverty.....that's communism for you!
that's so true for VN. 30k honda will be like $60k-80K in VN. With the cluster fark traffic in VN HCMC is worst than LA's traffic, i don't how ppl drive cars in the city.
Totally separate note but on average, for bulk volume shipments of goods from China to US, whats the price savings on inventory over flying goods in? Which company do you work for? Whats the process for getting goods into the US vs out?
the difference between ocean containers is that you can ship up to 45000 lbs in the container for one price (around $2000). air shipments go by cents/pound. transit time is about 21 days ocean vs 2 days for air.
