1daysale will probably just get a new domain name soon as they have really earned a bad reputation.

Also for dailysteals.com, everytime I buy something from there, they always send it late if you do not contact them they will not start sending your item. Every freaking time, cause when it said it is going to be here in 6 days, I contacted them after 20 days later, they said sorry for the inconvenient, it was just shipped yesterday. Every freaking time, but at least they send it, but if you do not contact them they just take your money.

Needless to say this is my first and last purchase from 1sad. I will also be pushing for return with them paying for the shipping since they sent me a defective refurbished product instead of new. However, how did you get them to issue you a call tag? Do they have a phone number? Did you have to dispute the charge with the credit card company first before they agreed to issue a call tag? Right now I sent them reply and it's been 3 business days and they still haven't gotten back to me.

They don't have a phone number. Everything is done by email. I would simply tell them that they falsely advertised the product as new. It is refurbished. Tell them to issue you a call tag within 1 business day. If they don't, you will dispute your charge. No scruples. |

This is the second time I heard about getting ripped off from a front page deal I will continue to flame on abusers and killers of deals.
Ban me? Ban them! Ban me? I QUIT! |

All true. Bought a "new" kids cell phone from them, and got it all scratched up, with the lanyard broken off and thats something I needed to tether it to his backpack. It was quite clearly and obviously used, no doubt about it. They told me if I paid to ship it back to them, they'd "look it over and decide whether to issue a refund", and also asked me to call the manufacturer about a warranty. I'm pretty sure the manufacturer doesn't do much about something being used and broken. Wasn't worth shipping it back, I just tossed it and don't buy anything from them.

I received an email from them on Dec 24:
Dear Valued Customer, Thank you for your recent purchase of the Cuisinart Automatic Bread Maker. It has come to our attention that the item was mistakenly listed as New, when it was Factory Refurbished. We would like to take this opportunity to apologize to you; it was never our intention to mislead you in any way. If you would like to return the order, please let us know within 48 hours, and we will gladly send you the return instructions. To request a return authorization; please reply to this email with "Bread Maker" and your order number in the subject line. Thank you for your understanding in this matter, and our apologies for any inconvenience it may have caused. Wishing you a Happy Holidays, 1 Sale A Day Customer Service Department I responded the same day and am still awaiting return instructions from them...hmmm..wonder what made them send out an email on Christmas Eve giving 48 hours notice.... |

"it was never our intention to mislead you in any way." What a load of BS. They do this ALL the time and SD supports them for some reason. It was also their intention that you would be too busy on Christmas to respond within 48 hours. |

Rofl, the good news is in the end they did send a prepaid shipping label, and they did refund the full amount. The bad news is how much time and effort it took to wrangle it out of them. I ordered the breadmaker shortly before thanksgiving, and I got my refund almost two months later on 1/10/13. I had to send them multiple emails/use their web contact form, and I did have to file a dispute with CC company. So much hassle... Needless to say it's my first and last purchase from 1saleaday. Buyers beware.

I just got my refund (mid February) after several several back n forth emails. They wanted me to pay for shipping to send them back a refurb product that was their mistake. Finally I got a prepaid label, however, it was not free pickup so I had to keep an eye for the UPS guy and beckon him to take the 'dread' maker. Quite some strategy on 1saleaday's part to provide dreadful service

Are there no Staples, Office Max, Office Depot or UPS stores around you? They all accept pre-paid UPS packages? If you work in an office, they most likely get UPS deliveries and probably have a shipping department that could have just put the box in the pile of other UPS boxes for pick up. 5 TV's in the house with Verizon FiOS and we only pay $3.99/month to connect all 5 of them. Thanks to Ceton InfiniTV4 and CableCard.

I agree with you...could have done that but I didn't want the hassle of carrying a bulky item around. I had a shipment coming that did not require my signature so decided to catch the UPS guy when he dropped off my package. It was easier for me to just hand him the return shipment. UPS will take a package for free if you see one of them stopped enroute. I guess I'm l-a-z-y ;-)
