Even if you can get that Lowes set when it's on sale for $99 my preference would still be this set. I like that this one is USA made (vs Taiwan) and the 1/2" sockets set is much more complete. This set also includes the 9/16" wrench and 3/4" which everyone is whining about in the Lowes set reviews as being missing. I dont have a parts list for that Lowes set but the reviewers are also saying the socket sets skip sizes, which Im not a huge fan of.

The flip side of the coin - people might disagree with me - is that the Taiwanese Kobalt ratchets feel smoother and have more teeth, but personal preference.

Neither set is 100% complete. Kobalt & Craftsman build their sets in such a way that you will most likely need to buy some additional tools in the future. The Craftsman set needs a couple more 3/8" SAE deep sockets and bigger (>15mm) wrenches. The Kobalt set skips sockets and wrenches. Keep the Craftsman.

Would this be a good starter set to work on a motorcycle? I have sv650 n wanna start workin on it on my own. Thanks in advance.

This is definitely one of the best sets I have seen that is on salel by sears. The only other sets I could recommend that goes on sale are the socket modules (which are 1/2 off now) but they do not include a case. There are other sets I could recommend but I never see them on sale.

Personally I would go with this set. You can always buy better ratchets. Also you should compare the list of sockets, and if this set is more complete (which it seems so), you have your answer.

You can keep the craftsman. And if you like kobalt ratchets, for less than $20 you could get a small 3/8" ratchet set.

The craftsman ratchets are nice but the price is just okay right now. And I heard some people got US made sets and some got Chinese made, if you care. I haven't used gearwrench roto ratchets, but the roto feature seems great. If you order from mygofer.com [mygofer.com], you could use coupon TRYMYGOFER10 to save $3.
