I was thinking along the lines of that as well! What a great way to get their name out there, create brand and product awareness. Sure, it was a price error, but it also gave them free publicity!
I even went to their website look at the company, it's products, and see if it's something I'd consider selling!

This same tablet has been coming to buy.com since Thanksgiving - at least that's when I placed my repeated orders for it. There was another marketplace seller who sold it for like 8 times the amount then. This tablet for ~$45 shipped is a steal by the way. I had to laugh reading this thread because its exactly what I went through with my orders almost a month ago. I held my breath through the night only to wake to cancellation emails and paypal refunds.

Ha, when I go to that link, it says "We are experiencing high volume, please check back later" but I have no problem going directly to Buy.com or anywhere else on their site.

Probably trying to stem the tide of complaints for the price mistake...

To Buy.com? Good if you want to patronize them but after this and a few other things they wouldn't be my first choice. They post a bogus deal and get you to spend money too.

Yes, to buy.com. When is a free $5 certificate ever a bad thing??? If I use that $5 certificate on something to make it cheaper than I can get it elsewhere, Why wouldn't I? I think Wal-Mart is a horrible corporation but it didn't keep a ton of people on here from creaming their pants because they were giving away a $10 gift certificate for purchasing a $100 Wal-Mart Gift certificate (even if Wal-mart totally screwed the pooch with those sales lol).

Kind of a stretch with the Walmart analogy but going with it, the Walmart deal was legitimate. The buy.com Tablet was not. They even cancelled peoples orders by totally bogus means which certainly was unethical and probably bordered on illegal.
