With SSD and RAM the laptop will last 60-80 min longer with out the low speed spindle drive.
Heavy usage you get 4-5 hours (Stock)
light usage no Wifi running with SSD on a trip 7-8 hours playing DVD (not blueray) video low back light... with High back light and Blue ray about 5. (Ram @ the max 10gb you can get)

Reason: Clerification on upgrades.
This is by far the best Ultrabook out there. Still overpriced, though. And inconsistent trackpad; mine didn't register clicks at the bottom 1/10th or so which is the most critical zone because your thumb tends to lean against the cut-out in the chassis at the bottom of the trackpad.
I just did some research. It seems that 2GB is soldered, another 2GB is upgradeable to a 4GB stick.
If I can fit 6GB total, I'd pull the trigger on this. End of the year writeoffs.
Does anyone know for sure?
I put an 8GB stick in here and it runs flawlessly. 10GB total. Easy to swap in an SSD as well. My favorite computer ever. I agree the touchpad leaves a little to be desired but otherwise I'm thrilled. Had it for 3 months.
