Again. . Darkfrog was pointing out an error in what I was saying. The statistics were for rifles as a whole, not just those that could be considered assault weapons. I mistakenly referred to them as assault weapons. That's all there is to it.
There are also AWBs in several states, and they all vary. Someone from such a state may view "assault weapon" differently than someone who only knows of the federal ban.
We all have our own points to make. I was intrigued by various people saying "assault weapons" is a misnomer and cannot be adequately defined as if such supposed lack of consistency would invalidate the idea of banning assault weapons.
I'm 25, a licensed pharmacist, and own 4 guns. I guess I'm an old fart who is bringing down this country.
Yep, once you die and your kids that you brought up to enjoy hunting/shooting/whatever die, and their kids die...
"The biggest problems that we're facing right now have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all. And that's what I intend to reverse when I'm president of the United States." -- Sen. Barack Obama, March 31, 2008
