Amazing deal! I'll use it to make some banh can (Vietnamese mini egg pancakes) that I had on my last trip to Vietnam. Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6yC--OcwoI

This thing is very one trick novelty. When I got it for xmas a few years back I made a couple batches. But then the novelty wore off and i never touched it again.

That's what I'm thinking. The price is great, but I can't justify using up precious kitchen storage space. Then again, I've never had a Aebleskiver.

They had a infomercial for Pancake puffs... My wife actually bought it. This pan is slightly better than the infomercial one but same deal. Put pancake batter in and turn...we use it once in a while still.

Agreed...not necessarily an everyday-use pan... BUT, great for making Indian snacks such as paniyaram, punugulu, and even poornalu and mysore bonda...

Honestly while the aebleskivers are tasty...I would save your cash and space for something like a wafflemaker instead which is so much more practical than this .

These can also be used to make tasty flugendorfers and spicy little moofentooters.

But I never used it again after the novelty wore off the first week or two it was fun when the novelty lasted. These are are a traditional swedish served on christmas. You can make them plain and eat with powder sugar but william sonoma sells a book with tons of recipes for aebelskivers. U can stuff these puffs with chocolate..peanurbutter...even cheese or crabmeat.

Has anyone tried making takoyaki in this pan or other ebelskiver pans?

If it works well I just might end up using it twice a year instead of once haha
