But I never used it again after the novelty wore off the first week or two it was fun when the novelty lasted. These are are a traditional swedish served on christmas. You can make them plain and eat with powder sugar but william sonoma sells a book with tons of recipes for aebelskivers. U can stuff these puffs with chocolate..peanurbutter...even cheese or crabmeat.
Actually they're Danish, not Swedish Smilie

I bought this one for $17.25 since the reviews were better and it looks like higher quality.

That one is made from aluminum, not cast iron. Aluminum scratches easily!

First thing I thought of when I saw this pan is EGGS.

I'm wondering if I could crack an egg in those wells and make perfectly round fried/cooked eggs? Or bowl shaped rather...
I was thinking the exact same thing. I have eggs for breakfast almost every morning and have been considering getting the round walled mold thingies for a frying pan but this looks like it would work great for making eggs benedict or something like that. Anyone try it?
FYI - For anyone who knows how to care for it, cast iron is the best.

I have nothing against Lodge. I already have two Lodge dutch ovens. I also have two other Aebleskiver pans that are not Lodge brand and were my wife's grandma's pans. They also outlasted her. Lodge does not have the corner on the market for longevity.
Lodge is the only remaining American cast iron cookware manufacturer. The company's that made grandma's are out of business. Lodge is really the only option for new quality cast iron cookware.

I just ordered this item on December 3. I paid $31.99. Can I call Amazon and ask them to refund the difference? Will they honor my request? What is the number to call them? I have never done anything like this before.

Thank guys

I am 7/7 for price adjustments this week. On one, they initially said no and then gave me an account credit over the phone.

My boyfriend is Danish and has one of these pans. We love aebleskivers. I just get mad because he refuses to make them any time other than Christmas. The traditional way is to make them unfilled, dip in powdered sugar and dip in jam. Yum!

I called Amazon and they said they will honor the price adjustment within 7 days. I tell them I will cancel Amazon Prime Account, Amazon credit card, and I will not shop with them anymore. They said NO. I guess I have to do exactly what I told her.

Cancel Amazon Prime, Cancel Amazon credit card, will not shop at Amazon. I am sure my wife will be happy with my decisions.

No way..cant use it for eggs. The holes are slightly larger than a thumb.

Here is a cookbook I have that goes with the pan. I got the pan and book a few years back as a xmas gift.

http://www.williams-sonoma.com/m/...-cookbook/

These recipes are really hard to do. The holes are so tiny maybe less than half the size of a dunkin donut munchkin. I was abke to fill them with jam without overflowing...but a lot of these recipes require several fillings which is hard to do without overflowing the holes. I think u have to try to see what I mean.
