I would invest in this but to not have 3D when 3D's will be become common over the next 2-3 years is a minus. 3D on a 80inch would be sick

I disagree. I have had a 632U for ~1 year. 3D in its present state has been around for 3+ years, Today, the bulk of the 3D offerings available are animated BluRay movies. I checked carefully when I bought my 80" Sharp, and I concluded then that 3D would either never catch on or would do so at a glacial pace. I see nothing coming in the future to change this situation.

I still find it funny to ask anyone who owns a 3D set, "What was the last thing you watched in 3D" (while preparing for either a scowl, a grimace or a just a lie)

I just got a 70" Vizio during that BF deal and it's a little small for the room. Contemplating this one, but I can basically buy 2 70" for the price...

picked up 20 of these for the bathrooms in my house

3D is a gimmick, it'll be gone shortly... just like the previous 400 attempts at making 3D media.
my tv has been "3D capable" since 07 when I bought the tv, way before any of these stupid 3D LCD tvs hit mainstream. you know how many 3D movies i've watched on it? 0, cause the last thing i want to do is wear some stupid glasses and watch a movie or play a video game...

i just watched the lion king 3D, i love the 3D option. however what you said is true, its usually in animated movies.

Span the wall with both sets then. Remove he bezel from each set on the corresponding sides an mount flush to each other and then get a signal splitter between the 2 sets to display 1 image.

in the last 2 years of having a 3d set, i watched one 3d movie and that was because blockbuster's version of netflix had the last harry potter in 3d or you had to wait 2-3 weeks for the regular version.

3d will never be "big" in the next 10 years

Is this some kind of sick joke? I have a 55" Panasonic 3D Plasma and I have yet to watch the 3D. The 3D fad has passed, I dont think you should worry about programming that will only be available in 3D. 2D is here to stay, I promise you that.
