$220 new on Amazon, very good price.
Review averages from various sites show mostly 4.0 or 4.5 stars out of 5. I'll try anything once, and most things twice.

Just bought it in silver for $5 more. Would have bought it in black for $5 less. BTW, when I checked out, I was offered $20 off $100 billmelater. So I added 32 gig SD card and $4.95 used case and got it all for $95 after $20 off $100 billmelater. You could do the same thing with this and get it all for $90 after $20 statement credit. Looking forward to receiving my camera.

Picture quality is good with nice zoom range for pictures but video mode is a bit disappointing. Many of the Nikons like this focus too slowly so following moving objects in video will result in blurry results. Also too much wind noise/hiss and mic is on top instead in front side so voices don't record well. If you are stationary with the camera and don't pan too much then video will be fairly decent and ok.

And video mode doesn't suffer like this. But it's difficult to find an all purpose camera that can do everything near perfectly (eg. SONY has very nice video mode but image quality in pictures is "sometimes" not as good as competing Canon & Nikon P&S models....) Last edited by atoneapone; 01-02-2013 at 12:18 PM.. |
