HiSense 50" Class LED HDTV
$548
One-Time Offer 50" LED (50.0" diagonal screen size) 1080p resolution 120Hz refresh rate

This Tv is in the ad on Walmart.com wondering if anybody knew anything about the Tv. I cant seem to find anything online about it, the model number is 50k360g. I got the model number in the store. I don't like buying anything without knowing some stuff about it first. I cant seem to find any reviews on it, is this a new Tv? I found this link [hisensecanada.com] with some stuff about it. Is this a good Tv does anybody know? If anybody could help, I would really appreciate it thanks.

I actually picked one of these up last night. I was very nervous but all the Hisense reviews on other models seemed promising. So far (not even 24 hours) its a great TV. Picture is just as clear and sharp as the higher name brands for $1200. I have a vacation day today and have been watching it all day and I am very happy. Was watching the Knicks game a little last night and I could see every grain in the wood. It is almost frame-less and 1.5" thick so its pretty looking. Back-lit, 120hz, true color, full 1080p..has all the qualities of the expensive brands.

I just picked this TV up last night to replace a 55" Samsung and so far I am more than happy...very surprised. Picture is awesome, sound I have no clue, its slim and sleek looking...almost no frame...Comes with a 1 year warranty....Has the same quality as some of the $1200 range LED TVs.

Thanks for the info. I was also wondering can you play video threw the usb port that's on it, If you tried it out yet. If so can it play .flv, .avi and .mp4 files?

I picked one of these up when I saw the price. I was scared ill be honest, but did a Google search while in the store and also only found info about other tv's and nothing but good reviews.

So far it seems to work. I also have been excited about the USB port, I have been putting all my 1080p movies on a flash drive trying to play on the tv so far no go. It doesn't load due to the codec so I'm going to look into it more.

It has a VGA port also with audio in.

I did hook my computer up via HDMI and was at 1080p it was acting weird lot of jittering on the top part of the tv I had to turn off the auto 120 hz thing. I don't know if this was due to my computer because I don't have anything else to test it on right now.

I am very impressed about the quality of this TV. I am very anal about getting a good and cheap tv. I was not ready to spend $800 for a Sharp or Samsung or even Panasonic..even thou I own these brands.

I bought this 50" LED tv at walmart and just in case I kept the receipt. It works man!!! I would buy this TV again, great picture quality on HD, my Xbox colors are super real, great really crisp AUDIO, no need for a surround system..well I may be exaggerating a little.. but really good sound. Well...Hope this helps...wait there just one complain. It has not OPTICAL for audio. Otherwise 9/10

Purchased this TV in December, so far, decent picture quality. There is a noticeable difference between the Hisense LED and my previous 60'' Sharp LCD.

The Sharp tv handled noise/grain better. The contrast is more difficult to get adjusted to my liking than my Sharp was, but with enough calibrating I have it setup with a decent picture.

Very thin bezel around tv, light weight, good build quality IMO.

I would give this TV a 6.5 or 7/10. For people not looking for smartTV's and not looking for the best picture money can buy--this does all I wanted and has a decent picture, but not as good as my previous Sharp with Xgen panel.

bought this tv yesterday at walmart.... returned a 42" back to sams club cause it was flickering...
hooked it up and love it....
it is pretty heavy but i guess it is a pretty big screen....
sounds isnt bad at all
pic is great outta the box (im gonna play with it a bit though)

only downfall was its such a good pic i can tell when its a green screen behind the actors (maybe thats just how its filmed ?)

def. worth the price.. IMHO..

to be exact i only bought it cause of the other reviews on this forum thread..its the only real reviews i could find....

thanks

Coming back to say so far I still like the TV. I am glad others are saying good things about it and I don't feel like I've been ripped off. I have never owned a flat screen TV so i'm not sure what to expect.

Still haven't gotten video files to play via USB will report back.

Usually the USB port is for firmware updates, but I haven't read the owners manual. Did it state that it supports video/media playback from USB?

Yup it sure does, and in the manual it lists all the codex that work.

Just an update after trying a few formats I am now able to convert anything into the correct format and play it via USB and it plays great with no lag at full 1080p and looks amazing!

So excited I can get this working.

I'm using software called Xilisoft HD video converter.

Here are the settings I use if anyone is interested. http://i.imgur.com/ymHovUt.jpg?1

Great TV.Walmart has this for 500 bucks right now. Might just be my store but even at 550 its still an awesome deal. The picture quality is great, the sound quality is ok. I would recommend a alternative sound source for movies and games but for average viewing its just fine. If this TV is displayed in your store, don't let the dim lighting fool you, it is more than likely in energy saver mode. I have watched tv on it, HD movies and a xbox 360 and it is perfect. no shadowing, no artifacting, no bleeding and bright clear colors. the 120 refresh rate is great for sports and action movies. Don't be afraid to purchase this set, I bought mine on a whim and was very leery about it, but I thought back when we paid 1200 for our 32" Westinghouse about ten years ago, a company I knew nothing about then and it was a great tv too. If your still not convinced, continue reading reviews, you will hard pressed to find a bad review of it. The only ones I was able to find were people who can afford 5000 dollar tvs. Good luck with your search for a new tv, mine is over and I'm happy I took the plunge.

I picked up the last unit at my local Walmart. Since it was the "floor model" (the elderly electronics lady/associate who was most definitely "Minnesota Nice") said she had put it out on display herself less than a week ago and it had been on for that week (no more. no less).

It was marked from $498 down to (get this) $298! Not a scratch on it and all books, remote & cables included. All it was missing was the original box it came in. She said it would only have a 90 day warranty (no questions asked) since it was technically "used". I figured if it doesn't go bad in those 90 days, it probably won't for awhile.

So I got it home, let it warm back up to room temperature (it is again, Minnesota) before I plugged it back up and everything seems quite remarkable. Good picture (no dead pixels, though the manual does clearly state that a few dead ones are not uncommon and are "not considered defects") and very good sound. My last LED HDTV (a year or two old Vizio, now my bedroom unit) had/has horrible, string and tin-can sounding audio so this was a great/wonderful surprise.

I had heard the Spectre was a good generic model, so I was looking for one of those. Being very skeptical about most fly-by-night, "brand of the year" electronics I was still concerned about this purchase, even when I got home. So far, my fears seem groundless.

The only "hitch" to the whole deal so far has been that the cashier at the front register in Walmart didn't enter in the "sale" price so I had to stop by the customer service desk on my way our and get the $213 price and tax difference charged back to my card. Embarrassment

do you have a copy of your receipt or a price tag with the item or model #. I'm fighting with my Walmart. They had one of these tvs left for 498.00, When I went back to buy it a couple of days later they had it up on display for 628.00 , I told them what the price was a couple days ago and they told me they would never mark something back up. They told me if i could find proof that it was 498.00 that they would honor that price
