If your LG tv has a wireless port this would work with it. My model is not listed in the supported list, but has the wireless port and this thing worked. I have 47LW5700 from Costco.

What does this do?
This will simply send a video and/or audio signal wirelessly from a transmitting devices to a receiver.
What inputs that the transmitting device have?
(aka - "Can I use this with a...?" Part I)
(aka - "Can I use this with a...?" Part II)
The receiver is limited to only a HDMI device.
This means that the television, monitor, or home entertainment receiver that you are trying to send a signal too needs to have a HDMI.
Can I use a laptop with this?
If your laptop has either a VGA [google.com] or HDMI connection, then yes. You can use the 3.5mm audio input to send an audio signal along with the VGA connection (HDMI does audio and video already).
If you run a Apple product with a display port, then you will need an adapter [google.com].
How does this work?
These devices creates a ad-hoc 5GHz wireless connection and send data over that connection.
What is the range?
The manufacture has specified 50 feet.
Can I use the switching feature if I modify this to work with non LG NetCast televisions?
Not 100% sure, but it doesn't sound like you can.

Got one 2 weeks ago, it does not work with a non LG brand TV (at least not with the one that I have). It requires that your TV has a wireless port designed for the wireless plug that comes with the receiver.

Easily "hacked" to work with any brand of tv. I'd never done anything like this before, but with a $10 power supply, some electrical tape, a swiss army knife and a $5 soldering iron, I made it work on the first try. Sweet sending 1080p audio and video from my directv box across the house into the bedroom. $7.50 for an RF remote on ebay and you are golden!

I copied/pasted the wiki contents from the other thread...wish we could just bring that one back instead of doing this all over again. I have been very happy with mine thus far - a really cool box for this little cost.

In for one. My parents have a TV in their Kitchen (only used to rebroadcast what is playing in the family room) that has been useless since my dad upgraded to HD receivers. I have been looking into an HDMI splitter and HDMI over CAT5E/6 setup but, with all of the possible headaches and incompatibilities this could bring along with the trouble of having to crawl under their house to pull CAT5E/6 (really makes me appreciate that my house has a basement), I have been hesitant to try it. With a simple hack to this device, it should make a great late Christmas gift for them.
