I would hope it is safe to say that since I own the Sennheiser HD 598 and the Audio Technica ATHM50 that none of these even come close to those. Especially since the Audio Technica ATHM50 were only $104.41.

Not feeling these at all. Besides the awful gold design, I tried these last year at the CES show in las vegas. Boy were they awful. Unless they magically significantly improved (which I doubt) then I'd avoid at any cost.

Prefer the 300 Soul's to any of the Beats outside of the Pro's.

The Beat's Pro's are very, very good for any type of bass heavy music and are actually very good for other genres, unlike the Studio's and Solo's from Monster which really are just over-enhanced bass and only good for thumping music.

I'd recommend the 300's if you're thinking of the Studios, especially at this price. Only Beats I'd recommend for sound quality are the Pro's. Unfortunately, they're not very comfortable and the price is absurd, but they're the only worthwhile investment in the Beat's line if you want something over than heavy bass (and the Pro's themselves have absurd bass, but it mixes well).

Got one! Bought the SL150 @ Radio Shack for $99 last Sunday but going to return it. Great headphones!
