agreed. I think that's what's getting missed. ON has a performance line that is a whey blend. This (which I have never seen before) is whey isolate. More expensive process to filter, hence the price on the product. Isolate whey runs very expensive across all brands that offer it.

could you elaborate a bit more on the flavor?
does it thicken up like a milk shake, or is it just taste?
Also, have you tried mixing in cocoa powder for a chocolate flavor and did that taste good, or do you think this might possibly work?

NOW brands whey protein isolate, which I have used and love, costs 63 on amazon for a 5lb tub, so this is a spectacular deal.

Your precious ON whey standard is mostly concentrate, which has crap absorption rates compared to whey isolate. Now for most people absorption rate won't matter but I work fasted ala Leangains, so it's incredibly important to me.

Taste like a vanilla milk shake. Not chalky or super think. With 8oz water, has consistency of milk. Haven't tried mixing it with anything else to enhance flavor since I like the milk shake taste. I'm sad when reaching the bottom of my shaker cup. There are different whey products listed now on SD but after working out bi's and tri's to failure yesterday, I was ready for another round at the gym today. Happy with my purchase.

just picked it up. Whey ISOLATE for this price is a steal.. Don't listen to the other fools who say this isn't slick. Isolate is the way to go.

i'm not much into this stuff, so trying to learn. how is this compared to the Walmart one Body Fortress Whey isolate [walmart.com], 2 lb tub for $22? is that brand not good at all? maybe someone has used that and can give some constructive feedback?

ever since i tried body fortress whey isolate vanilla from walmart i have begun to hate anything that has vanilla in it . it was that nasty. thats one reason why i m not liking this deal . i wish this on whey isolate came in chocolate flavor. its a personal preference you would have to try the flavor out yourself maybe its just me who doesnt likes vanilla whey.

i am currently using isopure dutch chocolate isolate whey and sometimes on double rich chocolate.

I bought a tub and it tastes great. I usually buy chocolate protein powder but gave vanilla a try. I had some left over chocolate flavored Muscle Milk so I mixed half a scoop with the ON Isolate and it tastes great.

I tried to find this particular protein on ON's website to see where it ranks and couldn't find any info on it. I have a feeling this particular protein isolate was relabeled just for Costco. (I.E. Samsung TV's, Alcohol, etc)

Eat more food?

Hi guys I am little knew to this protein world and need an advice what is a good baseline for a good protein? (i.e serving size, carbs etc...) and what do you guys think of this one here:

Thanks, great info. Will have to take BCAAs separately.

I also hate the vanilla wheys. I have to make them into a smoothie to drink it, but can drink choc. whey with just water and it's ok. I'd really like to try this as I'm just about out of my current protein but afraid it will be awful. Of course, Costco is the best for returns so I just may have to try it. I've been wanting to try ON.

I didn't realize that boneless skinless chicken breast had that much of carbs/fat. Nor did certain fish. Eat more food?
