Lots of ON protein fans on here - good news because ON prices have been through the roof this year. The new Costco coupon book for January shows Costco will begin carrying ON Performance Whey Isolate, 4.5 lbs in vanilla. Item # will be 705085. From 1/2/13 to 1/27/13 there will be a $12 off coupon, limit 2. Have not been able to price yet, but usually Costco's prices are fair and the $12 off per tub should make this pretty slick for ON Cool

This is supposed to be a Costco exclusive per their mag. 30g protein per serving / 55 servings per tub.

Here's my suggestion:

8.8 pounds for $55 shipped. Best price per gram on SD right now
http://slickdeals.net/f/5677072-D...S-VitaCost?v=1

Some math for you.

CVS Protein: 14 servings per container, 26grams of protein per serving, 3 containers.
TOTAL = 1092 grams for $33 or $ .03022 per gram

OR

Dymatize Protein: 2 Bottles * 61 Servings * 21 Grams of Protein
TOTAL = 2562 grams for $55 or $.021468 per gram

Thats 29 % cheaper for a QUALITY, NAME-BRAND PROTEIN
Are you saying On isn't a quality name brand protein?

The whey isolate from Costco has 30g per serving, with a total of 55 servings for $46.

Your CVS suggestion has 4 grams less of protein per serving and costs $0.79 per serving. **This is incorrect, as he stated the incorrect price. See my edit below**
Your Dymatize suggestion has 9 grams less of protein per serving and costs $0.90 per serving.

Costco On Whey Isolate costs $0.84 cents per serving. So, it has 9 grams more protein per serving than Dymatize and is $0.06 cents cheaper per serving. It costs $0.05 more than CVS, but has 4 grams more protein per serving. **CVS is incorrect based on the posters incorrect price**

CVS looks like it may be a better deal, but I didn't look at their other ingredients. **Incorrect, CVS is not a better deal** Also, CVS is not a name brand, so you contradicted yourself by suggesting to purchase a name brand. I would rather pay the $3.30 difference for the name brand warm and fuzzy over CVS.

Edit: The CVS protein is not a better deal. According to their website, it is $18.29 a jug, so $56.70, not $33 like you suggested above. Therefore, CVS has 4 grams less of protein per serving and costs $1.35 per serving, an astonishing $0.51 more than On.

At my local costco, they just gave me the discount at the register without using any coupons. Probably will end up picking up another tub or two before the deal expires as it's really good protein.

If you didn't get the book of coupons just ask if they have any extra books at customer service. They do have them at the register and the cashier used his coupon without taking mine. I've had mixed results with this, seems if I don't have any of the coupons then they don't deduct them.

I picked this up yesterday, tried it today after my workout. I don't usually like vanilla flavored protein, but this was actually good! It does have sucralose in it, which I don't like but it's hard to avoid. I used my baby blender bottle and mixed it with cold water, one of the best mixed proteins I've had. Can't report how it helped with recovery yet, I only worked shoulders & abs today but we'll see after tomorrow--chest day! Definitely recommend, even if quite pricey.

Can I return this opened if i don't like the taste? I only order the double chocolate flavor. I never tried the others. I wish there's a sampler pack.

I didn't realize that boneless skinless chicken breast had that much of carbs/fat. Nor did certain fish. Eat more food?
Didn't you know that the only way to be healthy and lean is to live off of protein shakes alone???LMAO

I feel much better and less bloated once I got off protein shakes. Protein shakes belong when you start taking in a ton of protein or if protein is really expensive ($8/lb of chicken breast) like in foreign countries.

I consume about 2.25l-2.75 lbs of uncooked meat a day and I am a small guy so anyone should be able to eat more. Wink

Haven't seen this yet at my Costco in Chula Vista (San Diego). I was looking for their Muscle Milk 100% Whey that they've had for a few years but didn't see any of that either.

i'm not much into this stuff, so trying to learn. how is this compared to the Walmart one Body Fortress Whey isolate [walmart.com], 2 lb tub for $22? is that brand not good at all? maybe someone has used that and can give some constructive feedback?
If you have lactose intolerance like me, paying more for Isolate is better because there's very little lactose. Whey concentrate which Body Fortress probably has has lots more lactose, and will make me more bloated at the end of the day.
