Dammit, I should have stuck to my former pledge of not buying ME3 until they fixed the ending...
Now I'm stuck at "checking downloadable content" loop at the beginning.
I just bought ME3 early this morning (or last night, depending on your perspective) and didn't get a confirmation email until at least an hour after my order was submitted.
It told me to view my game key in purchase history. I go into history and the same order is still shown as "under review", with no game key in sight.
Now, waiting several hours later, it's still the same thing. Order status of "under review" hasn't changed under "purchase history" since I first submitted the order and they took my money.
This is ridiculous. Downloadable content is suppose to be instantaneous, limited only by how fast you can download the stuff. Whoever heard of waiting more than half day (and still going) to get downloadable digital content??
How did you guys get your ME games?
I was also wondering if it's possible to just download the game from the Origin client if you input the game key into it first. Much as I hate Origin, right now it's a necessary evil if I want to play online, and I'd like to at least be able to bypass the inane GameFly client just to download my game.
I have done business with Gamefly twice only. I was burned. They sold me two games and I was able to get the games, but Gamefly makes it impossible or damned nearly so for the developer to update the version they distribute.
The games in question were Dungeons of Dredmor and GTA:SA. Here is a link to my post about this on the Gaslamp Games forums. (The developers of Dungeons of Dredmor.)
There are four pages of posts discussing this "Service" and how to force it to work without installing. (Via Sandboxie.) But in the end you will be left with an old version that is not supported. http://community.gaslampgames.com...rent.2865/
And here is the thread where I basically went on a rant about Gamefly messing with stuff. (They sold me GTA:SA without the 1.01 patch and refused to support it. They even lied to me about it when I asked about it.) http://community.gaslampgames.com...efly.3439/
I do not post this to inflame users. But these games are available directly from Steam, and from other places too. I just wanted to warn you not to be tricked into buying from Gamefly unless they actually give Steam keys.
You are each free to ignore me if you want. I have had my say. Be well.
I was going to get Gta Sa as well because my disk is corrupted, but I was reading that gamefly and steam use a version that doesn't support 1080p and rockstar won't fix it
