![]() Whatever you say, pork chop. If you want to get into a pissing match with me about the sheer number of threads which exist on this forum regarding products that aren't necessities, then you're welcome to make an ass of yourself. This thread exists because of a better than list price on a watch that you don't find appealing - and neither do I. That you or I do not find the watch appealing is not the point, however. That small minded people deign to judge for others what their idea of a value is - what they should spend their money on - is the point. You don't like the watch? That's great: keep it to yourself. Don't like the deal? Hit TD. We could care less, but it would be difficult. I don't suffer TCers lightly, particularly the obnoxious tiny brained types that know little to nothing about horology. This is an entry level Breitling, and not my cup of tea - but how about you keep you ugly petty snout out of what otherwise may be an anticipated and exciting buying experience for someone else? |

Necessities, 99%+ of the deals are not necessities. Food, water, shelter. Those are necessities, nothing else is a necessity. I don't think the pop tarts deal I got in on really counts as a necessity though either. I see your point, but please look at the name of the site you are on. This whole site is contrary to your point. This site is about reviewing items, determining value, then deciding and sharing if you think something is a deal. Arguments for and against an item being considered a "deal" are both welcome and necessary for a site like this to work. You went to dirty name calling in your last paragraph, not much point to counter argue when anyone older than 5 just laughs and loses a bit of respect for you. Anyway I think I made my point clear and crushed yours, so have a good day. Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you are a mile away from them and you have their shoes.

Personal and 3rd party assessments are welcome in my consideration though. If how you determine if something is a deal is compare regular price or MSRP to current price, then you have some learning to do and have not really learned what frugal means yet. |

Using your own warped definition of the term.

Let's see what you think, mostly as a sport to continue to laugh at your myopia. What's this watch worth to you, and how does it differ from what it is TRULY worth? http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y28...t=DSC02382.jpg |

If I posted a deal on a $80,000 Porsche or corvette for $40,000 it would be a slick deal. Or a $1,000 DSLR camera for $500 would you post: I can get a point and shoot knock-off camera at Walmart for $39.99? If you don't think the deal isn't slick then post where you can find the same thing for cheaper. That would be good feedback to the OP's post. But saying $2,000 is to much for anything doesn't add any value to people who would be interested a Breitling. It's to rich for my blood but I won't hold that against the OP. |
