This is jewelry first, a watch second. A nice watch can "make" and outfit, and is a somewhat discrete way of (possibly) showing a level of financial success. Those who know what they cost take notice. Those who find them gaudy are welcome to their opinion as well. Wearing a nice watch, while casually dressed otherwise, if a signal picked up by those who we want to notice.

I have one I bought in Puerto Rico. I dont wear it much, but was wearing it the other day. 3 different people, who didnt know me at all, commented they liked the watch. I plan to give it to my son on his wedding day. Its an heirloom.

Um.. its a watch, not Jewelry, and your argument is not the same. A nice Casio or Sunnto can help you navigate, predict weather, and even give atomic accurate time, vs this one which just gives time.

In your argument, neither stone does anything over the other, and one is more expensive simply because it is more rare. This is more akin to buying a crappy car because it has a Porsche tag on it, vs a Subaru which will never break down or get you lost..

You registered to make this ridiculous statement? Its EXACTLY the same. A ring with a cz or diamond gets you to the same place. I wear a $60 Casio on a regular day, a 5k Breitling on others. I use my phone to tell the time.

Its apparent you have never worn a nice watch, or piece of jewelry for that matter.
There are Breitlings that do more than tell time. This is a basic watch for their standards- as a few of us already pointed out.
If you dont realize this is jewelry first, function second, then so be it.

I have no desire to waste money on a basic watch; i have a watch that does far more than even their more expensive ones, at a fraction of the cost.

Again, its a watch,not jewelry.

Breitling is a one of the best brand and watchmakers in the world. This watch is on the affordable side of their watches, but you are getting a more simple and conservative look.

Please do not compare Breitling with Omega, that is just simply an uneducated remark.

I own an Omega Seamaster, andI bought the last Breitling deal that Jomashop had. I wouldn't say either is a superior product, but Omega has a better history and legacy in the world of horology. Most watch idiot-savants prefer Omega, but again, that's preference.
