Breitling makes a nice watch, not my personal favorite in the price-range, but certainly good stuff. High-end watches have better bracelets, clasps, crystals (including anti-reflective coating), muchhhhh better movements if you appreciate automatic vs Quartz, and overall they are just nice pieces of jewelry and gadgetry in one. Many women spend ridiculous amounts on purses, shoes, and especially jewelry and society just accepts it. Watches aren't just jewelry, they are a part of history, and there is a lot to appreciate by those who are interested. If you just want to tell time, I recommend a G-Shock.

I believe Jomashop is a reputable dealer, but any time you're spending this amount of money, I'd do the research anyways.

I collect watches. I dive. Have three Breitlings, an Omega and others. This is a good dive watch, not for dress, with a solid movement. If this were yellow I would be tempted.

This is not for everyone, but it is a solid watch and will hold 50-70% of its value at this price for ten plus years.

I should add it has a Pro2 band. I have that band on one of mine and it is very comfortable and attractive.

These days, Omega isn't quite what it was. Breitling makes a great watch that certainly competes...but when buying an Omega or Rolex, you're getting a name that has a lot of history behind it. In their current offerings, I don't know that you can say Omega is far and away superior.

I got a gold and diamond wedding band, it doesn't even tell me what time it is. Heck I could have just wrapped my finger in tinfoil.

Here's the $2k question....if you think luxury timepieces are a waste of money, then why are you on here TCing? You're not going to convince those who collect them to stop collecting them. Likewise, I'm not going to try to convince you that you should collect them.

Am tempted. Nice watch for the price. No different than purchasing an entry level Lexus, Porsche, etc. Be my first Breitling. Thanks, OP!

43% off is a decent discount to the general public, however your warranty would not be honored if one sent it in for repair at Breitlings Service dept. That being said, there should not be any reason anyway for it to need any work within 2 years.

Being that dealer cost is 50% off msrp and at the end of the year another 10% kickback adjustment occurs, net cost is 60% off msrp. (most cases) they are still making money. I know Movado works that way as do many other companies..........

Joma is legit. Been buying stuff from there for years. These are not knockoffs. That said, this is one of the plainer Breitlings I've seen. Definitely a good price, just not my style.
