You sir are wrong. PC games are horribly underpowered. They had new engines come out demoing new features but games are still stuck in the stone age (hyperbole) because of the 6+ year old console hardware. Remember the PS3 and the Xbox360? The ATI 4850 was more powerful than those and the 4850 equivelant? Is like below a GTX640 at the moment.

If you have a GTX 460, ATI 5850, 7770, etc. You have enough muscle to play the newest games and have it look better.

You're probably referencing pumping everything to ultra and smacking 16x AA on it which GTX cards would choke on earlier since they're low on memory bandwidth and VRAM compared to the AMD cards of this generation.
