I ended up only getting the 1%(road card gas) instead of 5%(cashback card) because of the type of discover card I have, still a good deal.... I also got a price match to Kmart, not at the register, but in the form of a gift card. I have since switched my card to cashback........

Did not get an email from discover either. I'm really hoping we don't all get screwed with this. I'm banking on the cash back to make this tv a slick deal.

Sometimes the E-mails from Discover have been random for me but in the end I've always gotten all me cashback.

ShopDiscover 10% Cashback from Sears.com $110.00. No Kmart near me and none in the state that had the TV in stock so I went with Sears and was able to pick up locally even though they didn't have it in stock immediately. I ended up placing 2 orders because the $50 off $400 wasn't applied on the first order and it was close to Midnight CST when the promo expired so it seemed more prudent to place a second order than to attempt to contact customer service. I was able to use my 105,500 points from the first order right away to buy the second TV. Then I called Sears to cancel the first order and picked up one TV today. Not sure what will happen with the SYWR points since I applied 105,500 from the first order on the second order, which only earned 103,950. I'm hoping they'll just deduct 105,500 from the current balance and it will go negative, essentially allowing me to use the points instantly on the TV I picked up.

I just set up the Expert 1 and Expert 2 picture modes using the settings provided by another SD'er- looks pretty good after calibration- not so good out of the box. Definitely worth $380-ish for a 50-inch plasma but certainly not the best plasma you can get at any price. I was much more impressed by the 720p Panasonic Professional 42" I ordered and installed for a friend back in 2007. That one only had 10,000:1 contrast but the whites were much brighter and overall the picture just looked awesome.

My ordeal:

Ordered from Sears through Shopdiscover- $549.99 Got the 105,000 points. Got the email for 10% cashback ($55)

(Typical slickdealer order 1st and read second) Then I saw Kmart had it $50 cheaper.

Logged back into shopdiscover.

Ordered from Kmart at $499.99 USING the 105,000 points from the 1st order.
Total $530- $105 in points = $425 out the door.

I didn't get the points OR the cashback emails on this 2nd order.

I called SYW Rewards - they told me they would look into it - 4 days and nothing so I sent the email and they applied the points!

Still no cashback from Discovercard on the order yet.

I will cancel the Sears order - giving me negative points, but since I now have the points from the kmart order, they will balance back out. So I technically used the points towards my purchase.

I spend about $4,500 per month on discovercard and pay it off in full - so if they don't give me the cashback - I WILL call and start complaining and tell them I'll use my Amex from now on. They should basically give me whatever I ask for since I never cause them any headaches and never call or complain.

looks like kmart discover cashback and pts have not been automatic for anyone... I already emailed discover and they said to wait 8 weeks!!

You have to wait for you billing cycle to end and review your statements to verify if cashbacks have been applied. It can take up to 2 billing cycles for cashbacks to apply. You just have to play the waiting game.

Wow. I called KMart/Sears for the 100,000 point credit on New Years Eve. The CSR asked if I had an offer number, which I told her no. She told me she didn't have the authority to award that level of points, but she would notify the department that could, and that I would receive an email when the points are credited.

Today, I called again, and was told the same thing, that they can't reach the department that can award those points. The CSR took my number and told me her supervisor would call me back.

I just received a call back from a Sheila. She told me that offer was only to be for Sears, and not for K-Mart. She awarded me the points, but asked if I had any offer numbers or written offers.

Yes everyone knew that offer was sears only . They used the sears TV image for Kmart and had no other choice but to award points. Their mistake plus shopdiscover 15% (17% for some) made this a slickdeal .

Calling 800-401-1834 was a breeze , got the supervisor directly on 1st ring and the points in about 5 minutes
