FWIW, I firmly believe that Superbowl week is easily the greatest time of the whole year to find TV deals. Two years ago, that's when I found the best deal by far on my bedroom tv (Panny 42GT25 for $600). Last year, that's also when I found my main TV (Panny 60ST30 for $1199).

I bought the larger TV at Costco after months and months of scouring the web. I wanted either a Samsung 7000 LED or Panasonic ST/GT Plasma between 55-65 inches. Came with standard Costco 1-year warranty and an extra year for using my Costco Amex. They had a squaretrade 3-year warranty deal right there at Costco for $99 (IIRC) for in-home service during all 5 years. Total out the door w/CA sales tax was $1406. No hassles with coupons, mail-in rebates, x% cash back, or package deals. TV is incredible, and the price is even more unbelievable when I think I almost spent over double on the Sammy, and my TV blows it away (but the Sammy has almost no bezel, so it looks better than the Panny when turned off).

Anyway, in my experience BF and after-Xmas sales for TV's are completely overrated. For both of my TV's, the past two years, l was able to find the exact TV I really wanted during the week of the Superbowl at the lowest price it ever had. Shortly after the Superbowl, they became unavailable as the next year's models became mainstream.

For those in Seattle: Coscto has put a $35 rebate on the Stevens Pass 5-pack of tickets. If you've purchased them for $230 in the last two weeks, Costco will give you a credit or cash, as the new price is $195. Obviously you'll need to go into the store's customer service desk but they don't require that you bring back the 5-pack of tix, as they have your purchase record online.

Are these in store coupons or how do I use them? I won't be a member of Costco until next month so I've never done this before.

That's what everyone is telling me too with waiting on Superbowl season. I've had my eyes dead locked on the Panasonic TC-P55UT50 at Costco going for $799.99. It comes with 2 years warranty Costco Concierge Service and the squaretrade warranty is $60 for 3 years, I do not think anyone can beat that. The only thing that stopped me from getting it today is issues with borrowing my girl's SUV to see if I could load the TV inside it. I'm getting so extremely impatient and I pretty much have it planned to get it tomorrow somehow. I know superbowl is feb 3 and it would probably be smart for me to wait until first week of january, but need a damn TV for the christmas party i'll have at my new apt...ugh decisions, decisions!

Costco refusing to take anything but Amex in 2012 is pretty frigging stupid.

If they'd take my Visa Signature, I might shop there, but I'm not opening another credit card until I get these student loans paid off.

Where you been? It's been that way for a LONG time. It's one less credit card vendor to pay so it saves them money. You really should get an Amex, the perks and stuff like Small Business Saturday stuff they do is unrivaled. Adding a CC won't kill your credit score.
