He's talking about price matching time, after that, you'll have to do a return/rebuy. I've never bother to go ask for price match though.

BTW, now costco.com has the coupons posted at the same day it's available, not too much use of scanning the coupon book to my understanding.

A few product notes (at least in my area):

The new Fiber One brownies are no longer chocolate, but a much sweeter whitebread I don't care for as much.

The Bona deal is as good as it gets for that brand.

I like the Taylor scale, but like most consumer scales it does vary by up to 0.4 lbs each time you step on it (I take an average if I need a precise measurement). But it looks nice!

Don't buy Pedegree dogfood; the Kirkland brand is much healthier (and cheaper) -- the Kirkland nutrition labels are on par with the highest end brands, although it may not be as digestible for every dog; ydmv.

I was really impressed by the Chobani yogurts. I normally like only the Fage Greek yogurt, but I think these Chobani's are my new favorite (I had tried Chobani 6-12 months ago, but wasn't impressed; something changed?)

I missed the pork loin coupon, but bought their chuck roast, and my wife says it was the best she's ever had. Recipe share [foodnetwork.com].

We use the Bona cleaner, because somewhere at sometime, either word of mouth or some research, suggested that Pinesol and most other mainstream floor cleaners were "bad" for wood floors (take up too much of the wax?). Bona is expensive as balls, though, and I was about to give up on it until I found it at Costco. Even without the coupon, the Costco deal is 1/4 of most major retail prices, including Amazon. We like it and have stuck with it, but I'd be happy to hear some more informed person tell me I'm wrong and point me to something cheaper (though I don't think we'll run out of cleaner for a year or more).

FYI, Costco's coupons are not MFRS coupons. Look at the back, it doesn't require Costco to send in to manufacturers to claim $. Costco creates those coupons themselves. Plus, all of them have exact UPC code. I saw a Costco employees took out those coupon booklets from boxes and placed them on the membership's counter.

Look at Sunday's newspaper coupon and it's totally different. Plus, Costco doesn't accept any MFRS coupons. I believe only BJ does (I read it on Yahoo News).

Yes, I agreed with you and other SDers that not every Costco required customers to tear out those coupons. I guess it's up to the management to decide how their store run.

Just returned a $25 fan I bought 2 years ago without a box. I did have the receipt. It was purchased online so it was in my email...not that you even need it, they can pull it up.

Now thats a deal!! w00t

I got the memory foam mattress topper...it is awesome, but I already have a memory foam bed from Ikea, it's just too soft now. I may return the ikea mattress and get something more firm so that I can keep using the costco topper.

I also bought a Roku, but I think I should have just gotten a cheaper refurb...

The pork deal was good, put them in the smoker for a little, they were good.

Thanks for the link, but that recall was over 6-months ago, that food would be long gone and the situation fixed.

I find this part of the article you linked humorous: "If you’ve discarded the packaging (something we recommend you never do) – or you’re in any way in doubt – do not take chances. Be safe. Stop feeding or handling the product anyway."

Um, do you know how many packages of dog food I would have if I never discarded the packaging?

Not true. My dog was eating the Salmon & Sweet Potato and it says the dates affected are from 12/9/12 - 1/31/13. I was on my 2nd bag of that (bought in that time period) and my dog just stopped eating it. Would occasionally get sick. Didn't happen on her first bag. Brought her to the vet and got blood work, etc and just came back as allergies. Unfortunately I threw the bag away last night. What fortunate timing of me to see this posted today. Since she got bloodwork done and everything came back clear, I'm going to assume she didn't get salmonella poisoning. She's been on a new food for a few weeks now and is doing fine. Just seemed like it was bad food. Without a receipt and without the bag, I'm SOL though in regards to the recall, right?


Edit: Nevermind, it looks as if the dates they list are the "Best Before" dates. Highly doubt the best before date was in the same time range as the time I bought it. I guess the vet was right, it was just allergies. The vet highly recommended the food though. She said it's as good as the high end stuff at a cheaper price. Unfortunately, just wasn't right for my dog.
