For almost 2x the price it should be a better product.

I wanted the black one, I tried to price match.

Backcountry would have done it if I did not choose black though. Including the 20 dollars off!

You have to watch on Northface products.
The make 2 different qualities
one has lifetime warranty
another does not and is typically sold through outlet and discount stores. It has a short warranty.

I had a issue with them before. The thread started falling apart on ski outfit 5 years after purchase, when just stored in closet and not used much. Still looked new.
I sent it to them , then they gave me the story of the discount grade crap.
They said they can tell by the way the embroidery is done on the Northface logo on the outfit.
It does not even have to be on any of the paperwork with the product.
To me this said they definitely knew of a quality difference when made, as a logo is not added to a product at the end, but before even made.
I did not buy from their outlet store, but a discounter.


To me I felt it was like buying a counterfeit product, except the low quality knockoff was made by the real maker, using lower end materials to sell to the people not willing to pay 500$ for a jack that is only made of 10$ in materials, and $490 in logo.


To say the least I was piss ed off after "talking" ( yelling) to their customer service.
And that is my reason for never buying any of their overpriced items.

Just pricematch to Nordstrom total $95.21 with free shipping. They did not check old or new version. LOL

moosejaw does it, no problem. however, they only have the black in small. so i ordered the medium from o2shop the small from moosejaw. i'll let her compare/choose one.

I ordered one but after reading the comments I am worried. I wish I could pricematch at Nordstrom but they don't sell women's black.

What other sites have reliable price matching? Moosejaw is out of med in black and BackCountry will not match the coupon only the price!

Just did a price match at nordstrom.com for Black Medium... Excellent price from a great seller...
The good part is, if I don't like the size or fitting, the return would be hassle free...

Tried it 3 times online with Nordstrom.

- Said they are different items just denied.
- Said they can price match $109.99 but won't apply the code. Than suddenly changed mind that it is an outlet which they won't price match.
- Said he couldn't find it in black on the o2gear site. I pointed out that I want the grey which being sold by them. Than he decided they are different items and won't price match.

Gave up.

Check out the Kirkland soft shell jacket for $24.99 at Costco. It's very high quality soft shell jacket. And if you don't mind not having the NF logo for 25% of the price.
