FYI guys, I've been looking for headphones for a while to upgrade from ath-m50s (knew a little bit about beats not much), came to conclusion ($200) beats are on par with $60-80 headphones but they retail for much more.

If you're a "basshead" these aren't even great on bass just bloated (casual listerners will not be able to tell unless they've heard higher quality bass), they're muddy and there's better options out there. Just do some research, you'll be glad you did if you end up with the right type of headphone.

you can probably get a much better return on the solo models because I see a bunch of completed listings for those at around $150.

I might bite and PM it with Best Buy and use my $100 RZ cert and free $40 BB GC.

The solos are the better investment but why must we do all the investigative legwork for everyone?

Avg. selling price over last 7 days of Studios: $196
Avg. selling price over last 7 days of Solos: $152

Solos sell for $44 less but cost $60 less than Studios.
