Dre beats solo $89.99 plus $20 gift card PM @ Best Buy

So does anyone know who their manufacturer is now? And do they have decent hardware on the new models?

Be nice if one of the better brands were making them and providing the value they sorely lacked before.

He found it, but then he scanned the SKU of the headset I brought to the counter and said that this model couldn't be found at Staples. He then noted that Staples is selling the "monster brand" and said that it's not the same as the best buy version.

As I was walking out, I heard him call over his employees and issued a warning to them about Beats price matching based on the Staples sale.

Tried a second time. Cashier said OOS and not HD sO no go. OP is just very lucky. Can't even get PM let alone gift card.

Thanks for the detailed description. Bummer guess it just depends how vigilant our local Best Buy employees are.

Also people stop with the Beats hate. Go to an audiophile forum and voice your displeasure there. We get it, you don't like them. Doesn't stop other people from wanting them, especially at this price.

Just took my phone and showed them the page that I had a link on. It looked like I could add one on staples.com so there was no question about whether it was online or not. If you like rap beats are great, if not get another set of headphones. They are made for heavier bass. I could understand how if you could think they were bad, if you listen to higher treble music.

How did you get them to throw in a $20 gift card on top of the PM? I was able to get them down to employee pricing, which is 5% above cost: $109 Solos, $163 Studios.

When he rang it up he said it wouldn't let him get past the screen without giving me the gift card. I never asked for it. As far as approach, I just got it from a rep in the headphones section which had a register.

I purchased 2 of the white Beats solo for $89.99 each. Associate went over to the mobile phone area. Looked up and verified the Staples price, had a manager come over to approve the price adjustment. Manager barely looked at screen, just hit a few keys and voila, I was good to go.

I high-tailed it out of there!! I agree it depends on who you get to assist you. Guess I got the lucky draw tonight!

By the way, I got 2 $20 gift cards also.
