Also, can I install a true radio app for it?

I heard this thing has radio built in, but how do you activate it? And I'm not talking about the internet app, but actual real mechanical radio.
I use this app. Works really well. https://play.google.com/store/app....fm_unlock

Is there a way to take screenshots without a microSD card?
When I tried to take a screenshot it says sd card error (because there isn't one in there)

TIA!

With the new unlocking ban into effect, will it affect those in Virgin mobile? For example for these One Vs that were bought in the Radioshack offer. The information is still fuzzy, some say its okay for phone bought before today while some say its only okay if you ask your carrier first. However, for Virgin mobile we pay the full price of the phone, so is it legal/illegal now to flash it to pageplus?

According to this:
https://www.federalregister.gov/a...ntrol#h-17

Sounds to me like all new phones purchased before this date and for 90-days afterwards are exempt from the unlocking ban. I saw no distinction made for phones purchased without contract, so I would interpret that as the ban applying to prepaid phones too. The point of the law is to protect the cellular industry from loss of revenue, and VM does lose revenue if these phones get flashed to P+ so it's easy to come to conclusion that this ban covers prepaid phones as well.

Hmm...even in the news there is mention of big carriers which offer subsidized postpaid, however, there is no mention of prepaid carriers. For Virgin mobile we pay the price of the cell phone upfront, so I am confused if it applies if we flash it to PP.

Anyways we bought it on December, so I guess we are fine.

Too bad all Virgin Mobile phones are lacking a Sim-Card slot - including this one.

Not necessarily.

The news outlets and even the exemption itself are not completely clear on this point. Some report it that you had to both purchase the phone AND unlock it in the 90 day period (which ended on 1/26/13), while others are saying that you simply had to buy the phone before the 90 day grace period (which ended on 1/26/13).

If anyone has a definitive answer on this, I'd appreciate it.

So, I actually contacted the Office of the Register of Copyrights for clarification on this. They responded with that if the other conditions were met, legacy cell phones acquired from a wireless telecommunications network on or before Jan 26, 2013 can still be unlocked.

Here are the conditions.

(3) Computer programs, in the form of
firmware or software, that enable a
wireless telephone handset originally
acquired from the operator of a wireless
telecommunications network or retailer
no later than ninety days after the
effective date of this exemption to
connect to a different wireless
telecommunications network, if the
operator of the wireless
communications network to which the
handset is locked has failed to unlock it
within a reasonable period of time
following a request by the owner of the
wireless telephone handset, and when
circumvention is initiated by the owner,
an individual consumer, who is also the
owner of the copy of the computer
program in such wireless telephone
handset, solely in order to connect to a
different wireless telecommunications
network, and such access to the network
is authorized by the operator of the
network.

Alright, so first of all MERRY CHRISTMAS. I have been following this thread since day ONE and THANK YOU RADIO SHACK+VIRGIN MOBILE!!!! Excellent Deal. Also, big shout out to XDA DEVELOPERS!!!! (love you guys)

So naturally, if you are reading this its because you probably missed out on the deal (as did I) and you are looking for a way to get the phone. So here's what I did on Christmas Eve. I went to radio shack where the phone was sold out.. Then I went to Wal-Mart and asked if they priced matched with radio shack (the sales rep said yes). So I directed my attention to the phone and said it is $49.99 at radio shack (the guy freaked out). I stood there for a minute as a older couple stood behind me listening, watching and waiting. I felt bad as I thought I was holding up the line, but apparently they heard my whole conversation with the rep and as soon as he approved the price match they said, "I'll take one too". The husband shook my hand smiling and the wife gave me hug (thanking me).. They said, " We were here the other day and our son wanted the same phone, but it was to expensive for us ($149.99) but thanks to you we can afford it, thank you so much and Merry Christmas!"

So here's my technical review. I purchased this phone and well of course I appropriately FLASHED IT to page plus. The collaboration of DIY instructions are excellent! huge Thanks to the combination of effort everyone put together. I was able to get 3G using page plus on the 29.95 plan following the instructions thoroughly.

Although let me warn you, if you already have page plus and are planing to switch devices. You will have to do one of the following;

1. IF YOU DIALED *228 OR *22890 AFTER FLASHING. You will have to flash the number again in CDMA workshop (EMPHASIS: You will only have to flash the PRL under the "other" tab and secondly, you will use the main tab to re-enter your MDN and MIN. Nothing in QST CONFIG, phone restarts)

Finally, I am working on port instructions. I know these instructions are vague, but if you read the very well explained WIKI you should not have any problems knowing what I am talking about. Please PM if you have any questions.
I had called *228 and it went through.
So, I'm stuck on this. I had the phone working on Pageplus on it's own number but when I tried to bring over my old number on another pageplus device. It now has no service. CDMA workshop can not find the device and I believe I turned off diagnostic mode. I can't dial ##3424# without service. I'm not using the same pc I was before though. The phone does not have a com port, it shows up under disk drives instead on this laptop. Any advice?
