Ebay auctions for 100 dollar bills?

I was looking on ebay and seen auctions for older 100 dollar bills and dont understand these bills even though not in circulation anymore , are not that old and are bringing a markup of 25%? why?

Would love to know what low #'s are of value I also got a $20 with a * in the serial number. I did some research and the * means the original bill was flawed in some way and they had to reprint it, hence the * but it was never ment to leave the MINT/ Vault. Someone told me it was like 15% more.

because people are willing to pay it because of perceived value. Isn't that why anything has value?

About half that assuming your not a powerseller. eBay runs around 10% Paypal 2-3% depending on how you process.

I'm not a powerseller and my fees total around 13%.

Found Slickdeals because of the Touchpad. Ended up getting 2.
Will be staying here for life. WTF did I do before Slickdeals??
