Update - Picked my two drives up last night from OM. They are tiny and work fine, and as posted, the transfer times are slow, even for a usb 2 device. I got about 7mb write and 15mb read on a single 8 gig xbox iso I used to test. For me, since the plan is to load up my Insanity/Asylum/P90X/Tapout workouts all on one drive and use it with my WDTV live it is not an issue. If I was using this semi-frequently for data transfer, I could not tolerate the speed.

+ CB from Discover, etc.!? but alas ... OOS on-line for me (for shipping).

Is the code good for indoor purchase? It does not allow me to order online and pick up in store.

4 MB/s write is typical for generic/basic USB 2.0 flash drives. I would recommend paying a little more for a faster drive. Best case scenario (large files) with this drive it would take about 4-5 hours to fill it. With smaller files you should just start the copy and go on vacation.

Those Effers canceled my order of a single unit for in store pickup and now I cannot reorder since it is now not eligible for the buy online and pick up in store service!

I guess that saves me money!

ehero: I just got back from the store. Had to purchase it for 29.99. It didnt work with 20% instore only on supplies (paper, staples, pens, etc). I tried buying online then picking up..it wouldnt let me.

Bought one yesterday for store pickup, and picked it up earlier. So far - pleasantly surprised. Reformatted to NTFS, and getting 11.7mb/sec write speed when copying large files, per Windows 7 file copy window. 50 gigs in about an hour 15. Not bad for $26 otd.

The only issues are - no status LED whatsoever (although it's a plus if you're using it with a media or bluray player with a front USB port. Flashing LED then is just distracting). Also, it's not a push-release push-retract (like a ballpoint pen). The front part just slides back and forth, so you have to hold the back part when inserting it into the USB port.

Still, I promised myself not to buy anymore thumb drives with caps, and this is reasonably speedy and adequately capless.

My store was OOS, went to buy a bunch of stuff, including the 16GB version of the drive, mouse, discs, etc, nothing worked for 20% code
