Look at the serial number label on the box the tv came in and you'll find "Version XXXX". I made the best buy guy go back twice before I got the tv with "Version TS02" on the side. So went home with a genuine Sammy panel not Chi Mei crap!
>>> So going off of labels Cxxx/Bxxx = Chei Mei, Axxx = AUO Optronics, Hxxx = Sharp, and Txxx = Samsung S-LCD.
For the money these are good led lcds. If you don't mind extra heat, dimmer pic, and image retention risk, the Panasonic plasma is a better screen. Despite it being "thick and boxy" vs the higher end side lit ES series samsungs, I actually prefer the EH series as I prefer LED backlit vs side lit as the screen is much more uniform with less flash lighting.
FWIW, I bought this through Amazon for this deal and got a TS02. There is a definite halo viewing angle issue with the direct lit tech. I'm also seeing some noticeable vertical banding. After calibration I think I'm OK with the results. Definitely not outright convinced. Oh well, this TV is the right size/feature set for my needs.
