DVD X-Copy was made by 321 Studios (which had its HQ in St. Louis, MO). In February 2004, after a lawsuit, it was banned for sale and the company subsequently went out of business by August 2004. That's probably why you never got your rebate check.... they were too busy paying off the lawyers for the DMCA case. This software title is made by Bling 123 Software, another company entirely, founded in 2007. Their HQ is in Pleasanton, CA and to my knowledge, they have no affiliation with 321 Studios or DVD X-Copy. Also, this rebate is fulfilled by 4MyRebate, a subsidiary of TigerDirect's parent company Systemax... not the company directly. As long as you fill out everything per the instructions, you won't have any issues receiving the full rebate value. |

Excellent review from Amazon:
Works well if you have the right hardware [amazon.com] August 15, 2012 By George M. [amazon.com] I have been using the 2011 Platinum version since it basically came out. In the beginning it has several issues (locking up, stop in the middle of burning a DVD/Blu ray but as new updates came out I would say I was able to copy every standard DVD that I had in my collection (new releases as well) and about 6 out of every 10 Blu rays could be copied to a standard DVD or converted to DiVx, MPEG-4, etc. I was hesitant to upgrade to the 2012 version because I wanted to be able to copy Blu ray movies that I could not before with the 2011 version (THOR, Transformers 3 and a few others). I emailed their tech support and I was told that the 2012 Platinum version could copy THOR and the other titles that I mentioned to them. I tried the 6 day trial and every Blu ray title except for X-MEN 1st Class would copy without any issues. What I have noticed is that you need to have the right hardware..meaning processing power and RAM to be able to pull off the Blu-ray conversions/copies correctly and in a decent amount of time. When I tried doing it on a dual core 4Mb or RAM computer it could only copy DVDs but not Blu-ray titles. I have a 3.2GHz 6-core processor, and 12MBs of RAM and depending on the title, 60-90% of the processin cores and RAM are running. Also, I have noticed that it depends on the Blu ray drive that you have....certain models do not work. Some friends at work have used LG blu ray writers and they have had issues. This software is by no means perfect, but I have to conclude that it is better then the 2011 version and so far I can copy ALL standard DVDs, and I would say at least 90% of the Blu-ray DVDs that I have including a new release that just came out last week (The LORAX). The fact that it can copy many of these titles that have certain encryption is pretty impressive. I don't understand all the issues that some people have but I can't say I don't believe them because obviously they are not happy with the product. One other item that I forgot to mention is the amount of time to copy Blu ray DVDs...for converting to DiVX(use on a tablet, etc), it takes about 1-1.5 hours depending on the length of the Blu ray. For copying a Blu ray DVD to a standard 5Gb DVD it can take up to 5 hours (average 3.5). For me this is not an issue because the fact that it can compress atleast 12Gb of a Blu ray on a standard DVD is pretty darn good....and yes, the quality of the copy is excellent. Also, I would like to mention that with the 2011 version some of the DVDs had stalling issues when copied but so far I have not found one copied DVD/Blu ray that has had an issue with the 2012 version. I honestly believe the right hardware with the proper integration of software is needed to copy DVDs/Blu rays. In order for me to give it 5 stars the software has to be flawless in which it is not, but giving it 4 stars I think is pretty good for what it can do(Platinum 2012). You can educate yourself on how grocery coupon barcodes work on this page:
http://www.barcode-us.com/support...coupon.htm Notice on the Value Table (print list, keep w/ your coupons!) that there is no value code that can ever require you to purchase more than 4 items to get the listed value off. |
