Nice buy if the rebate comes through but, it's only SATA-II & it's an old design.
Anyone else notice all the reviews from 2010?
I'm swiss on the vote for this one
Never heard that saying ... what's it about?
I like these older Intel drives. I have some M-25 1st Gen that are plenty fast (esp in RAID0) and not a hiccup in two years of use. I believe the larger NAND die size gives them longer life (write /rewrite cycles.)
More Americans can name the Three Stooges than can name the three branches of government.
This is a SATA II, but it was one of the best SATA II's out there. I have one and it runs much faster than a regular spinning drive. In fact, I wanted to buy a new SATA III drive, but I missed out on the Samsung 830's. Another thing you want to make sure of is to check your motherboard to see if it supports SATA III if that is the way you want to go.
