OP stated it on his post ![]() I am a little curious however. After I book my reservation, do I just pull up to Valet parking and tell them I have a spot reserved on Park Now? Or how do I find my "reserved" spot? Do I just pull into any spot? And lastly...how do I get out of the parking lot? Do I just flash my app to the cashier? Just made 3 separate bookings with different accounts for each night via the $20 credit website. I hope it works. I had to give a credit card to make an actual booking. I hope it works (and I hope there are in and out privileges). Thanks for the help!
Look, someone had to finally tell you this...having a pet is not the same as having a child.

I used the service yesterday and let me say, it was terrible. I parked with the Valet service at The Westin hotel on 3rd street. Got there, left my car, got my valet ticket, no problem. When I came back a few hours later, I thought the valet scanned my QR code but apparently, he didn't. Not sure if it was his device that wasn't working or if he just gave up scanning the code after a few tries. The whole time he was complaining about the app on his scanner wasn't working properly or lagging. Note: my reservation was from 8:00am to 8:00pm. I got there around 11:30am and left around 5:00pm. I got a few emails when it got close to 8:00pm saying my car was still at the valet service when it was clearly in my driveway.
Now, I'm looking at a $45 "overtime" charge on my online banking statement which I have to dispute with park-now later today. Moral of the story: make sure the attendant SCAN and UPLOAD your QR code before you leave the compound! Also, for the credit, they DO charge your card (your card is needed before they let you book anything). They later reimburse your card if you have the $20 credit on your account. Even the $20 credit wasn't enough to cover my $45 fee! |

Here's an update to my ordeal (post #73 above):
-I called Park-now on 12/27 regarding the overtime charge and we've concluded that the valet's scanner wasn't working. The billing dept. refunded me the $45 charge. -Later that night on 12/27, I get another email, saying I was charged another overtime fee; this time, a continuation of the fee from before. I call park-now on 12/28 and they refunded me the overtime fee again, and they closed the reservation. -I get an email on the night of 12/28, saying the reservation is closed (I finally "timed-out") but I was still charged a last overtime fee. This is the third time I've been charged this silly overtime fee and I think it's ridiculous. At first, I was going to blame the valet service for this whole ordeal, but after all the calls and all the ridiculous charges, I've concluded it's really park-now's flawed system and customer service. Now, I have to wait until New Year's Eve and call them to settle this last overtime charge. Just when I thought this service was a genius idea, now, I regret ever trying this new start-up. |
