If TigerDirect would pricematch that would avoid taxes in CA

Edit: Asking Sears to pricematch with 15% Shopdiscover makes this around 499$ with tax for me.

Wow, Discover will pricematch up to $500 on their own. I think I'm going to buy it from sears. I did my math wrong.

+ 10.00 recycling
+ 50.37 tax =
$710.36

$710.36 * 0.85 (5% online + 10% sears through shopdiscover) =
$603.81

The pricematch difference =
(649 [sears] - 549 [frys]) * 1.07749 [tax] =
$107.75

603.81 - 107.75=
Final cost of $496.06

Update: Confirmed refund on pricematch from sears. Even though I have to work retail tomorrow on christmas day after just getting home on christmas eve, I'm a happy camper.

For sears to pricematch, they checked my shipping zipcode from frys, and he actually asked for my login information to frys.com, because he couldn't verify the $549.99 price without logging in, and refused to make his own account.

You would just have to confirm Fry's has it and can ship it to you, and make a dud account for them to use at fry's.

I placed the order first through shopdiscover, because he kept insisting to place the order for me which would lose me 10%.

Looks like my first experience with Frys is going to be a bad one...
