I think have lots of missing pieces of the puzzle. I have an activated android phone. I have 300 minutes/mo (prepaid). If I ran out of my monthly minutes, how can I make free wifi/3G calling? I thought Google Voice would take care of it, but seems like I'm wrong.
I have Google Voice app installed. I have GrooVe IP already and used it until my phone was activated. GrooVe IP no longer works because my phone is activated.
What are other options? Any suggestion is very much appreciated and repped
Not sure whether this belongs to hot deals section but it's free after all. Mod, feel free to move to a more proper place.
There are several free VOIP solutions such as grooveip lite but they all suffer from bad quality on 3g. I found a clever way to make free and reliable internet (VOIP) calls even on 3g mobile data. I posted the full instruction on XDA forum.
thanks very much for the xda instruction. Inbound calls to my google voice to CSipSimple on my handset works well. However, I have problem making outbound calls. I use CSipSimple to dial out, and it error with "It cannot be completed as dialed. Please call again later". Looking at call long it tried dialing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Am I suppose to use CSipSimple to dial out? Did I config something incorrectly?
Will rep for useful information. I feel generous today
"I got mine" = great deal, you snooze you lose.
"I didn't get mine" = scummy SDers...didn't wait for me.
