One of the most stupid ridiculous products/plans I ever heard of.

Comments here are bad, but this item is good in some situations. For example, my mom has one because she goes to florida for two months in the winter. No phone there and no wifi around. She uses a cheap non-data cellphone so tethering isn't an option. This VM device is perfect for her and has worked great the past two trips.

200MB is nothing on a PC, or for multimedia use. The monthly plan is comparable to the cost of unlimited data elsewhere, so you're only saving on hardware costs. That's like burning money to save on the fuel costs of driving to the propane shop.

If your mother barely uses any data, why doesn't she use the Walmart "Internet on the Go" devices? the bandwidth costs more, but IT NEVER EXPIRES.
