I initially bought a MSI 670, but I had weird artifacts with certain games so I returned it for a 7950. Both cards are very fast and you'll be happy with either one. You can't go wrong at this price.

Did the Galaxy one have a 1006MHz base clock?

If so, that card has a better PCB and cooler (reference 680 PCB and reference 680 cooler). This PNY GTX 670 is strictly reference.

Good price for the performance but these things get loud once you start cranking them.

Wait 6 weeks. AMD's new 8000 series is supposed to be coming in Q2 of 2013. Nvidia should be releasing close to that as well. In 6 weeks we'll see if more information comes out at CES which could lower prices.

Also this is a reference board. No low noise cooler, nor a 680 PCB to allow good overclocking. The Wind-force board with better cooling was close to this price around BF.

If you need a card right now this is a good deal, but a lot could change in 6 weeks.

Are you looking for a good OC? Are you trying to keep noise reasonable?

If yes to either you may want to wait for another Windforce.
