Pny gtx 670 $279.99 after rebate newegg plus 2 games

I regret buying the Radeon 7850 in May for $250 now...

I have an XPS 8500 with the OEM GTX 660 installed. I also realize that means nothing.

The problem with the motherboard in the XPS 8500 is some cards will be recognized and some will be ignored. According to the Dell thread here [dell.com], reference cards should work while non-reference cards are more of a problem. PNY I assume is reference because the specifications match Nvidia's and the price is lower, so PNY is too lazy to do anything useful. So, from past experiences, the PNY GTX 670 should work. However, no one in the thread has installed a 670. Most people are putting in 660 TIs or 7870s.

I am tempted to try out the 670, but the problem is I will not be using my XPS for another 5 months. So I guess I can wait.

EVGA is the same way and it is arguably the moved loved company for Nvidia cards.

I woke up at 6 am (since I don't live on the east coast) and called TD customer service, I waited on hold for 25 minutes before a rep answered. She told me that the card was already being processed in the warehouse, but she could put in a stop order. She said there would be no guarantee that this would stop it though, but if it gets canceled, they will send me an email. I agreed and thought well at least there's a chance. Well now it's noon, and I decided to check my order. The Galaxy card is on backorder, and the order still hasn't been canceled!

I feel like the rep literally did nothing when I talked to her earlier. I knew better than ordering from TD, but the deal was too tempting... Never again.

Glad I ordered this PNY card before the price went back up.

EDIT: Their phone system just disconnected me after 10 minutes of holding...
