Cancel Credit Cards
I feel I have more than enough credit cards. Recently I got a Macy and Jc Penny card(wifes fault). I have several other cards but only use them once or twice a year and then pay them off. I have one card that is on interest free until next year and pay them off as I use them. One card decided to charge a yearly fee and didnt see it until a bill. I called and got it waived but dont want to pay it next year and dont really need the card. Will it be bad to cancel it or because I feel I have more than enough credit it would help. I have a a chase points card that has an $8000 limit for just in case moments. I use a credit union card that has a fixed 9.9% which is rare to find these days.
Here is a basic list of what I have
chase $8000
Visa $4000
master card $4000
visa $3000
Walmart $2000 (used for gas and basic)
Mobil $1500
Chevron $1000
Lowes $1500
Dillards
Jc Penny
Macy
Lol all that I can think of
Car payment
co signed on my house.
Last credit score I saw was 735. My income now is almost half of what I used to make.
