Yeah, i just checked and paid this about a week ago. This model is suppose to be discontinued this month.

Wasn't a fan of this modular set until my son and I put it together. Fun set. Now just need pet shop or emporium to go on sale

Lego Fire Brigade 10197 $119 at Amazon That being said, the Fire Brigade is on sale again for $119. Normally $149 and yes it goes on sale for $119 here and then (you can check camelcamelcamel for frequency. I read some place this might be discontinued soon, maybe someone can validate. this will be discontinued as the new theater set is coming out to replace this on March. Like other previous retiring sets, this is the pre-retirement sales of this lego set. After this, the lego will be retired and you will see its price goes up pass its original retail price. This is the time to grab it right now.

Thanks for the heads up. I went ahead and ordered. Realize this is the same price as a couple of other places, but, as others have pointed out, this is about to be retired, and it's below MSRP right now.
I got burned on the Star Wars Imperial Shuttle - was going to buy it in December. Now that it's retired, it's already selling for $100+ more than I could have gotten it last year. Not going to be burned on this set. |
