In other states where this has occurred laws were passed making the list of permit holders private information as it should be. In a sense, it is best for all to not have that information known. It protects the owners from thefts which might target the arms. It also protects the non-owners because thieves would be left guessing which homes would have armed vs unarmed owners in the event they chose to break in. It's really questionable how anyone could think this was a good idea.

Here is how they are logically related. They are both elements of the broader gun control -- one much more reasonable and sensible than the other. You would think many gun enthusiasts would support the reasonable one and and then expect the support of the other side for the unreasonable one.

That's nice. Your comment is still unrelated to whether or not it's in the public interest to publish a list of where legally licensed and registered gun owners live. I would suggest starting a new thread on BGCs.

Adams135 was attempting to make an analogy btw gun permits & abortion. For the analogy to stand, the actions needs to be some similar in terms of govt involvement.
