If you're against "gun violence" and guns getting into the wrong hands, you just advertised to the violent criminals where they can steal more of them (and later commit violent acts with). If you're against crime, you just advertised to criminals where they can exercise their crimes with minimal risk of being shot (i.e. the houses w/o the guns). This is the idiocy typical of the gun control lobby. And people bash the NRA... They don't post a list of "disarmed homes" on the map for burglars, rapists, murderers, etc. to peruse. They could, using the same tactics as this paper, but they don't. The newspaper just did, though, effectively. Morons.

And many of them are already published on the internet in databases that are open to the general public. Once I was bored and decided to find out who owned my apartment building. All I had to do was go to the county clerk's website, create an account (basically, just my yahoo email and a password), and from there I could find a wealth of information, either searching by the address of a property, or by name. And when my car was hit by a DUI driver, I was able to get the police report scanned and emailed to me for $5 (you didn't have to be directly involved in the case to be able to get the report. You just had to ask for it). That gave me the girl's name, and the first result that came up on google was her booking photo. When my dad wanted to subdivide a piece of property he owned into three parcels to build houses, the entire application process was available to the general public online. However, if I were you I would not mention my dad on this board else you will be called a hippie juvenile on dope and on welfare and living on the top of your parent's garage. Some posters here are just that bitter. |

As stated before- all this kind of info is freely available to anyone, why isn't there a similar database listing everyone on the government tit?? If anyone can see all the property someone owns and what it is valued at, why can't anyone see how many benefits a person is receiving and what the monthly $$ total is? Rep. proposes to make gun permit holders' info public [wtnh.com]
Twenty years ago state lawmakers made the names and addresses of gun owners confidential, available only to law enforcement and the Commissioner of Mental Health and Addiction Services. The longtime co-chair of the legislature's Public Safety Committee, Democratic State Representative Steve Dargan of West Haven, long considered a friend by gun owners, is proposing that the gun owners confidentiality law be overturned that the names and addresses be made public. "My bill, or my thought process, is not to hurt any law abiding person, but just to continue that discussion," Dargan said. ------------ Continue the discussion? I didn't know there was a discussion regarding this - you know - because the first thing this guy did was to propose a bill, not hold a town hall meeting or something. |

Ok, you win. I can't argue that one. I think it would be very interesting to see our elected politicians returns.

Reason: Automerged Doublepost The truth: Management at IRS can blame themselves and how they have chaotic and poor management, but God-forbid you, or I, or anybody else in America gets audited and doesn't have their ducks in order and s***-together, your ass is going to court or jail.
Shout out to Congressman Mike Kelly for stating it as it is... Link [realclearpolitics.com] |
