when i saw the title i thought it was 6 gallons of wen conditioner... LMAO

No reviews. Anyone know about this product?

wouldnt buy it.. cheaply made. I had 3 previously and the regulator lasted minutes; not days.

The good news: The Wen brand has been around for many, many years.
The bad news: It has NEVER been a quality brand; cheap Taiwan junk. These tools, in particular, are not something you want to buy from a cheap manufacturer; too many moving parts with close tolerances. Staple guns likely to jam and misfire, compressor will wear prematurely. I'd stay away.

I owned the Wen pancake 5 gallon for a few years. The regulator went bad right away. Stuck a new one on it and it worked great until I gave it to a cousin. Never tried their nail guns. I think I paid about $110 for it in 2007.

you are far better off ordering a recon hitachi from bigskytool which is a nice heavy duty oil lubed unit than buying brand new crap like this... and it's probably the same money.

Are oil units acceptable for spraying paint? I read you can install an air/oil separator on the line, but am wondering if people have found that good enough to prevent fisheyes and other issues when spraying paint?

this wont make enough air to paint honestly.

Mine has oil and i paint with it. Just need a filter before the gun.

I am looking for a reasonable compressor, finish nailer. New home owner looking to do some projects with crown molding and wainscoting. If not this unit, any reasonably priced recommendations? Thanks.

Ok thanks. I am actually not planning on getting this compressor, but wanted to know if the oil type were acceptable for painting, for down the road when I do get a compressor. Sounds like you have had success using a filter.

oil units are far more durable

every large compressor worth it's salt is oil. I have never seen anything 60 gal or greater in oilless and that's what you see in all paint shops. oilless is usually rated 1-2 minutes on 10 minutes off.

yes an oiled compressor is fine for painting, get an inline oil and water trap, drain your tank regularly, and dont work it hard on hot humid days - you will be fine.

I was thinking more that one. Those little pancakes cant handle snuff for duty cycle, are loud little buzz boxes, and just never make enough air to do anything. This is slightly larger for a lot more compressor. watch for sales, they coupon and go on sale batches there of this model frequently

None of them will be suitable for hvlp of anything big even run continuous.
If you get that one I linked just make sure you run a good synthetic 10w-30 in it, DON'T run straight 30 it pops breakers in the cold and runs better on 10w-30
