Harbor Freight Variable Speed Dual-Action Polisher - $39.99
I've polished four cars with this dual-action polisher with great results. Power lies in between the PC/Megs(weaker) and Griots/Flex(stronger).
I strongly recommend buying a 5" backing plate if you plan on using HF pads. I use 5" Meguiar's microfiber pads. They are more expensive than foam but are much more effective (saves time!).
