Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows $34.99 @ Amazon (Lightning Deal)

I was too late, is 40 bucks still a good deal or should I hold out?

i would hold out, unless you absolutely positively want to use an OEM microsoft xbox 360 wireless controller on your PC.

the wired xbox 360 controller works on PC also i believe. so this is for those who want to go wireless and want to play PC games using the same controller they have been using on 360... i think.

This has been selling in the Warehouse for about same price for months and months. Maybe its the same one and nobody would buy it...

Two of them, if you missed the lightning deal. They were $35 not that long ago and there always seems to be a few kicking around. I think a lot of people order these thinking they're for the xbox, and then return them when they realize its for a PC, then they end up in the warehouse.

$40 is still a pretty decent price, considering it comes with the receiver and everything. The $38 at Newegg is better though. If you can wait it might be cheaper again, but $35 is one of the cheapest it's been according to CamelCamel..

It's probably the best controller you can get for Windows, it should be noted that a lot of games fully support the 360 controller naively meaning buttons show correctly in the UI and stuff, it's a lot nicer.

I have a Logitech Wired F310 and my god the shoulder buttons are painfully stiff and rigid, though game support is pretty decent.

does anyone know if this can be used with older games via steam, e.g. sword of the stars, etc?

Newegg is not the same? Amazon one has a red retail box, Newegg has green.

Even at $40.27 I am in for 50. I run a modded / custom controller company and I was down to like 16 controllers as the holiday season was crazy! Gonna take time to sell 50 more dongles.. but after all is said and done it is less than $27.99 a controller for me which is good. Would have been nice to get them at 34.99 though.

I ordered on newegg, but then i canceled because those are not controllers for windows with the dongle. There just the controller. It's a big difference. If you are patient you can get $16.00 + Shipping for each dongle.

I think so. You can still get the $37.87 warehouse deal sklar posted in this thread, as Used Like New from amazon warehouse is usually brand new.
