Wii motion plus controller pricing/deals

Just got the kids a Wii for Christmas. I'm a bit of an old man and out of touch with the current state of video gaming consoles. I picked up two sets of motion plus and nunchuk controllers from midnightbox.com a couple weeks back for about $26. However we're having some problems with them not really working that well and I'm suspecting they are not great quality. Looking at the Nintendo brand remotes, I see them going for anything from $40 to $70 without the nunchuk, which looks to be $20 by itself. It seems kind of ridiculous to me that the refurb wii cost $85 and yet I am going to pay $400 for 4 sets of motion plus controllers and nunchuks.

So that brings me to my question... does anyone out there have advice for a good quality motion plus/nunchuk set that won't break the bank? I'm hoping to get 4 sets so my wife, myself and my 2 kids can all play and I'm hoping someone out there has info on a good brand that isn't prohibitively expensive.
