I've been told that tv's send the 3D signal to glasses through either Bluetooth or IR. These glasses use IR, so that depends on what kind of signal your tv uses. I don't know about restocking fees, the BB site might be able to tell you.

I wasn't sure if what I said before was correct, so I did some research. Most of my questions were answered here [crutchfield.com], although I still can't verify the signal info. It all depends on Active or Passive.

Active 3D — Active 3D TVs require viewers to wear battery-powered active shutter glasses to see the 3D effects. These shutter glasses feature LCD lenses that alternately block the view of the right eye and left eye in response to sync signals beamed wirelessly from the TV. Active 3D TVs provide full 1080p picture resolution for each eye. However, the glasses are expensive and usually bulkier than passive glasses, and some viewers are bothered by their high-speed flickering.

Passive 3D — Passive 3D TVs provide a 3D experience that's very similar to watching a 3D movie in a theater. For passive 3D TVs, the screen is doing almost all of the work. Not only are two video images being displayed, but there's also a special screen coating that works with the polarizing passive glasses to create the 3D effect. Passive 3D glasses are lightweight and inexpensive and require no batteries — they're virtually identical to the 3D glasses handed out in movie theaters. Passive 3D provides a picture that's crisp and bright and free of any traces of flicker. Passive 3D technology is less sensitive to a viewer's viewing angle or head movement, which makes it easier for several people to enjoy convincing 3D effects.

Passive 3d also reduces resolution of your viewing by half, while active reduces your refresh rate by half

Guess I will be taking my receipts for 6 @ 24.99 ea. in to BB manana for price adjustment while exchanging some gifts.

Yes they work on Mitsubishi 7 and 8 series, the newer ones without having to buy the 3d emitter kit, as it is in the front of the tv. Without the kit, though, I would think the range would be shortened somewhat.

It works on my Mitsu. wd-73738 (with free software upgrade from Mits. )

It says on sony's website that it is universal including Mitsubishi.

On a down (and up) note. . .I heard a crackle noise on my dlp tonight, and the sound is gone. But 2 months shy of 2 years so let's see what Amex proposes!!!

These are way more comfortable. Only Downside is if u have a BIG Head they will be a little tight. Thanks OP and Repped I just Ordered 3 Pairs from BB(3 separate orders cuz they limit u to 1/order). But still cheaper than Amazon by like $0.70/pr = $2.10 savings :-)

Same price as black Friday. I got two then, very light and rechargeable with my cellphone charger and cables. Very convenient and non Sony to use standard connectors. A bit tight if your head is wide ( even avg )

yes, you are correct. i bought these on thanks giving day for my Samsung 3D TV @ that time i havn't done much research... these are not working with my Samsung TV (seems to be my TV sends the signal through Blutooth technology)...

Not showing up as available on Amazon at a comparable price anymore. The page comes up as 19.99, but when I try to add to my cart, it says not available from this merchant (which is Amazon) anymore.

I'll echo the sentiments above about the glasses though. I definitely prefer them over my Panasonic glasses, if for no other reason than their range is much better. They are a bit on the tight side for me (big head), but even so I'll take them over the Panasonics. I got one pair on BF to try them out and now am ordering a second pair for my girlfriend to wear for movies.

Also, to add, if you have a newer Panasonic TV, those use bluetooth, so these won't work.

If you cannot get the set fixed under warranty, you might want to pick up a receiver and just route the hdmi through there instead. That's how I use my tv, and the sound is picked up directly from the HDMI signal.
